Doncaster Cables PV-Ultra PV-ULTRA4C4.0-50 is a 4 core double insulated solar DC cable on a 50m drum, built with 4 x 4.0mm² Class 5 tinned copper conductors, nominal 1.5kV d.c. rating and 44A clipped current rating. It features cross-linked double insulation to BS EN 50618 Annex B, CarbonTek bedding, SolarTek sheath, red and white core identification marking and LIVE DC print; wattage and IP rating are not applicable for a cable. Using multicore PV cable can support more organised DC runs and fewer separate cable routes, helping reduce rework, minimise material use, and keep PV installations aligned with efficiency and environmental compliance targets.
